Physiotherapy BSc (Hons), MSCP, HCPC
member of CSP, AACP, CSPIVR
As a experienced physiotherapist I have an extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal issues and sports injuries. I use a number of treatments - spinal and joint mobilizations, taping, acupuncture, soft tissue mobilisations, electrotherapy and exercise prescription - to help get my clients better.
Acupuncture can be used for a range of conditions - sciatica, tendonitis, migraines, women's health. In recent years acupuncture is gaining recognition as a treatment option in the NICE guidelines for a number of medical conditions.
I treat clients struggling with dizziness caused by issues in the vestibular system - caused by crystals in the inner ear being out of place or a need for better communication between the brains visual, vestibular and proprioceptive systems.
I studied Physiotherapy at Salford University, qualifying in 2003, when I started my career in the NHS. Whilst employed in the NHS I gained experience in Rheumatology, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Respiratory. In the last 15 years I in specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, musculoskeletal pre and post natal care and Vestibular rehabilitation. During this time I was fortunate to work alongside a number of dedicated and talented clinicians.
I am a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), Acupuncture Association of Physiotherapists (AACP) and Association of Chartered Physiotherapist In Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR). I am Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and also have a Diploma in Sports Massage.
In 2018 I started my own private physiotherapy clinic at Golan and in 2021 decided to focus solely on my private practise.
I use my expertise to help my clients struggling with musculoskeletal and sports injuries, dizziness, migraines and headaches get back to doing the things they enjoy.
When not at my clinic at Golan I enjoy spending time with my family, hill walking, cold water swimming, gardening and providing a taxi service to my teenage boys.
